Totally spoils me! Her (grown) children live out of state so I guess I'm the new KID on the block. I have her pretty well trained, I can almost get my way with my pathetic eye look, or smiling adoringly at her. I return her kindness with lots of kisses and good behavior. She's trying to break me of jumping on visitors, but I'm so excited to see new faces and I'm sure there just as excited to see me! Oh and she bought a new collar with spikes in it so I can't pull her along on the walks.... it works and she has tried several collars.
Pet rules for owner:
Must play ball with me at least 6 times a day, plus a long walk. My dinner, of course whatever she is having is expected timely. A good shower with her once a week.
I was really sick with the flu, and could hardly get up to let Kooki out... She went out and came back with a twig in her mouth. Kinda like when the kids would bring me dandelions. She also became a "lap dog" during my illness, and just knew I could not "play"... AND she still thinks she's a lap dog now.... ha ha
I was NOT looking for a pet. Someone in the neighborhood had a litter and brought her by. I held her and never put her down. She was up all night the first night crying she was just 5 weeks old and her mother gave up nursing. We worked things out food wise, and she is just a wonderful pet. I was so nervous about the "pit bull" part of her, but she is so excited to see everyone. I kennel trained her, but after 2 months she was sleeping in her basket, and spends the whole night there. She wakes up at 6 Am with me, and then goes back to bed! She is SPOILED!
